GMA's new plant is already producing the T.50 supercar

The new headquarters of the Gordon Murray Group, which was being built in Highams Park, England, has been completed, and production of the first T.50 supercar there has begun.

Production of the T.50 had been underway since early last year at a much smaller plant in nearby Dunsfold Park. By moving production to the new headquarters, the old site can now be repurposed for the production of carbon fiber monocoques.

According to Gordon Murray Automotive (GMA), the move to the new headquarters has also greatly improved manufacturing efficiency, as various functions such as logistics, parts supply, and testing have been consolidated.

GMA is the automotive division of the Gordon Murray Group, which also includes the Gordon Murray Design and Gordon Murray Technology divisions. GMA is also developing its first electric car.

In addition to the production area, the Gordon Murray Group headquarters also houses a heritage collection of vehicles of the company's founder Gordon Murray as well as GMA. The site also has a small road used for final and pre-delivery checks of GMA vehicles. Customers may also take delivery of their vehicles at this location.

After the completion of 100 T.50s, GMA plans to begin production of 25 T.50s Niki Lauda truck versions. Production of the T.33 and then the T.33 Spyder Convertible will follow.

GMA will continue to offer supercars, but has confirmed that it will branch out into other areas. There are already plans for an electric SUV.
