Rivian R3, Mercedes-AMG CLA EV: Automotive News Headlines
Rivian surprised with the unveiling of its R2 electric crossover on Thursday by also revealing a smaller R3 hatchback. Details are scarce, but the R3 is expected to go into production later this decade and will include the high-performance R3X, which was also teased on Thursday.
Mercedes-Benz is working on the next-generation CLA-Class, which will be battery powered but will also offer a hybrid powertrain option in select markets. Spy photographers have spotted a prototype of a high-performance version of the CLA being developed by AMG.
Audi's Q4 E-Tron electric compact crossover will enter the new year with a single grade boasting more power and chassis upgrades, but at a higher price. The grade is the Q4 55 E-Tron, which comes standard with a 335 hp dual-motor all-wheel drive system.
