2021 Audi A4 and A5 power increases.
Audi's A4 and A5, which received comprehensive updates for 2020, will receive only subtle tweaks for the 2021 model year.
The most important of these is a new mild hybrid system that boosts the output of the 2.0-liter inline-4 turbocharged models by 13 horsepower.
For the 2021 A4, the base A4 40 now has 201 hp and the slightly smarter A4 45 has 261 hp. Audi also made all-wheel drive standard on the A4 40, meaning no more front-wheel drive A4 models.
The 2021 A5 will have a new base A5 40 with 201 hp and AWD. The A5 45, previously the base model of the A5 range, now has 261 hp. Audi notes that the new A5 40 model is only available in the A5 Sportback liftback sedan body style.
Audi also increased the number of standard features on the A4 and A5. These include Apple CarPlay, lane departure warning, and an integrated toll module.
Upgrading to "Premium Plus" also includes adaptive cruise control with active lane assist, a surround-view camera, and a hands-on steering wheel detection system, while choosing "Prestige" now includes heated rear seats Heated rear seats are also available when the "Prestige" model is selected.
The Convenience Package adds heated steering wheel and park assist with front and rear parking sensors.
The 2021 Audi A4 and A5 are available for order, starting at $40,095 and $42,795 respectively. Both include destination.
