Apollo Intensa Emozione, produced in a limited edition of 10 pieces, three of which are now in North America.
One of the wildest supercars in production today is the Apollo Intensa Emozione. It combines carbon fiber construction, a high-revving V12 engine, and aggressive looks that rival the Batmobile's face.
Unfortunately, only 10 cars will be built in total, of which only three will arrive in North America. Two of the vehicles destined for North America have already been manufactured, but the golden example presented here is not one of them. This car belongs to a customer in Malaysia.
The cars are sold out, but Apollo plans to take IE on a tour of the country so that fans can experience the cars up close. One of these was recently held in Greenwich, Connecticut, where this photo was taken.
The goals of IE development were simple. To create a car that is lightweight, aerodynamically efficient, provides ample feedback to the driver, and is not hampered by emotionally diluted technological systems. The result is a breathtaking car, especially in the world of electrification and autonomous driving systems.
The car is assembled around carbon fiber tubs and meets and partially exceeds the requirements of the FIA LMP2 class safety regulations, including carbon monocellular construction The V12 engine produces 780 hp and 560 hp of torque 6.3 liters. This engine is paired with a six-speed sequential shifter and can reach 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and a top speed of 208 mph.
Apollo has yet to announce plans for a successor, but the company has its hands full. That's because Apollo is the company that resurrected De Tomaso, which unveiled its stunning P72 supercar last summer.
