Mercedes-AMG is getting into the subscription game, offering $3,595 monthly plans
A few years ago, Mercedes-Benz entered the car subscription game, albeit on a trial basis limited to Nashville, Philadelphia, and Atlanta.
The subscription plan known as the Mercedes-Benz Collection included a membership tier with access to select Mercedes-AMG vehicles, but Performance Skunkworks is now trying its hand at offering its own membership tier. The new AMG Exclusive level is currently only available in Atlanta and costs $3,595 per month plus a one-time activation fee of $495.
Despite the high cost, it also includes insurance, 24-hour roadside assistance, all maintenance, pickup and delivery services, and no mileage restrictions. In fact, you only have to pay for fuel. There is also no minimum usage period. After the first 32 days, the service is automatically renewed, but the subscriber can cancel at any time.
The list of models currently available under the AMG Exclusive service includes:
Mercedes-AMG C63 Mercedes-AMG C63 Cabriolet Mercedes-AMG GLC63 Mercedes-AMG GLC63 S Coupe Mercedes-AMG E63 S Mercedes-AMG E63 S Wagon Mercedes-AMG G63 Mercedes-AMG S63 Coupe Mercedes-AMG GT 63 4-door Coupe Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster Mercedes AMG GT C
The car booking process is done through an app and local concierge, and cars can be booked for long periods of time but eventually need to be returned for inspection and maintenance. In this case, a similar vehicle is offered to the contractor.
Although car manufacturers have so far been quiet about the economic benefits of car subscriptions, more and more manufacturers are getting into the game. Some manufacturers, such as Cadillac, are also back in the game after a hiatus.
