The "all" Rimac C_Two concepts have been finalized for production.

The Rimac C_Two was unveiled at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show as the successor to the Concept One electric supercar. Since then, Rimac has been working systematically on the production of the C_Two. In the process, the company has made significant changes to the car's design.

"Everything" in the C_Two has been changed for production, CEO Mate Rimac said in a video showing some of these changes.

According to Rimac, key changes include a redesigned front end to meet pedestrian collision standards and a more aerodynamic rear body. The company has only shown camouflaged prototypes and out-of-production headlights and taillights, so the final look will not be unveiled until the 2020 Geneva Motor Show.

According to Rimac, there will also be some changes to the interior, but these are likely to be minor tweaks to meet regulations and add functionality to some of the elements first shown on the C_Two concept.

The C_Two will be equipped with a driving coach to improve line of sight on the highway and an advanced driver assistance system that Rimac says will enable Level 4 autonomy. This is a bold claim, as Level 4 means that the car can be driven without human input under certain conditions. Currently, no car on the market achieves Level 4 autonomy. Because the system can ask the driver to take control, Rimac uses in-car cameras to monitor the driver's vigilance. This is similar in concept to Cadillac's Super Cruise system.

In addition to interior refinements, Rimac included crash testing in the list of things needed to prepare the C_Two for production. Rimac did not have the resources of a major automaker, and as a result, the same C_Two monocoque was crash-tested six times.

Assuming the specifications remain the same as the concept version, the C_Two will have 1,914 hp and 1,696 lb-ft of torque. According to Rimac, the electric car will accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 1.85 seconds, cover the quarter mile in 9.1 seconds, and reach a top speed of 258 mph.

It has a $2 million price tag for its performance, but that didn't stop Rimac from filling most of the seats in the production version of the C_Two shortly after the concept was unveiled in 2018. The final production version will be unveiled in Geneva on March 3.
