The 2020 Ford F-150 will be upgraded to 775 hp by Hennessey.
Hennessey Performance Engineering has teamed up with Brown-Lee Ford dealership in Morrison, Tennessee, to offer an unusual truck.
The Hennessey Venom 775, based on the 2020 Ford F-150, was unveiled on Thursday and features a 5.0-liter supercharged V8 engine that develops 775 hp, comparable to a supercar. 0-60 mph acceleration is 4.0 seconds and quarter-mile acceleration is 12.1 seconds (116 mph).
Yes, we're talking about a full-size pickup truck.
To increase power, Hennessey installed a 2.9-liter supercharger, upgraded the intake and fuel systems, and added an intercooler. The exhaust system also features a stainless steel catback.
But Hennessey didn't stop there. The company also upgraded the braking system to ensure the car brakes from high speeds. At the front, new six-piston Brembo calipers are installed. They are mounted on 20-inch wheels shod in 35-inch TOYO off-road tires. Hennessey also installed a 6.0-inch elevator kit and a special front beam with LED lights to improve off-road capability.
Only 100 examples will be produced in 2020, which will have license plates in the engine compartment and on the dashboard.
If all of this sounds good to you, the price will be $53,300 plus the cost of a donor car. Several options are also available, including a ventilated hood ($5,950) and a custom interior ($4,950).
As mentioned above, the car will be offered exclusively through Brown Lee Ford. This is the same Ford dealer that sold a 700-horsepower Mustang GT last year for just $40,000.
