Spy video of the 2021 Jaguar F-Pace SVR
Jaguar is working on a mid-cycle refresh of the F-Pace, and the latest prototype spotted is of the formidable SVR variant.
The sound of the supercharged V8 engine is so intoxicating you'll want to turn up the volume on the spy video.
The current F-Pace SVR makes 550 hp and 502 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 5.0-liter V8. But we know this engine is capable of more than that, so with any luck we'll see that power boosted a bit for the update.
Of course, rivals like Alfa Romeo's Stelvio Quadrifoglio and Mercedes-AMG's GLC63 S are only available with 505 hp and 503 hp respectively, and we should note that the BMW X3 M (and X4 M) are also now available to choose from. 473 hp in the standard and 503 hp in the competition versions.
There are some design changes as well. In particular, the interior taillight graphics are expected to be more angular, as on the redesigned 2020 XE.
The interior is also expected to look more upscale, with the addition of soft-touch surfaces and hand-stitched leather. In addition, the cabin should get a new infotainment system with a 10.2-inch touchscreen display on the center panel. This system should be faster and more intuitive than its current, less user-friendly version.
The updated F-Pace, including the SVR variant, is expected to be a 2021 model, so it could debut as early as this year. Other major Jaguar new products this year include an updated F-Type and an upgraded XJ. The latter will be introduced as a battery model.
Stay tuned for updates as they develop.
