Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is being recalled, people may be trapped in the car.
The Lamborghini Aventador SVJ is a car that offers non-stop fun. However, it is quite another matter if you find yourself locked inside the car.
Apparently, the interior door handle mechanism can fail on some SVJ models, leading to the recall.
The recall, which is expected to begin in May, will affect 26 SVJ vehicles in the U.S. built between December 2019 and January 2020. Both coupes and roadsters are affected by the recall.
According to a recall notice issued by NHTSA last week, improperly trained factory operators may have improperly installed the cable connecting the handle to the locking mechanism inside the door. Yes, they're blaming the rookie.
Fortunately for the stranded individual, the outside handle is controlled by a different mechanism and continues to function, allowing the door to open normally from the outside.
Lamborghini is currently contacting the owner of the vehicle in question. Dealers will replace the interior door handles free of charge. For more information, contact Lamborghini at 1-866-681-6276 or NHTSA at 1-888-327-4236 (see recall number 20V151000).
