RTR prepares a 750-horsepower widebody Mustang for its 10th anniversary
It's hard to believe it's been ten years since professional drifter Vaughn Gittin Jr. teamed up with Ford to develop various technical and design modifications to RTR vehicles.
In honor of this milestone, RTR has unveiled the 10th anniversary version of the new Mustang RTR Spec 5 super muscle car.
Each is painted in the company's signature Leadfoot Grey, and buyers can choose from five accent colors. Other special touches include signature graphics commemorating the company's 10th anniversary and a serialized dashboard plaque signed by Gittin Jr.
Like all Mustang RTR Spec 5s, the 10th Anniversary model is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine with a Ford Performance Phase 2 supercharger kit. A number of drivetrain components will also be upgraded, including the addition of a half axle.
The car also gets a sport suspension with new coilovers and transverse stability stabilizers front and rear. Each hub is fitted with 20-inch forged wheels with Nitto NT555 G2 tires (285/30 front, 305/30 rear).
The transformation is completed by a widebody kit and the signature RTR grille (with LED accents).
The cost of this package is $50,000 in addition to the cost of the donor Mustang GT. The upgrades are being handled by Lebanon Ford. Yes, this Ohio-based Ford dealer has been offering ridiculously powerful Ford cars at ridiculously affordable prices for years.
"I started RTR 10 years ago as a passion project," Gittin Jr. says." This 10th Anniversary Mustang RTR Spec 5 is the grandest expression of what RTR is all about: modern aggressive styling, easy-to-drive power that makes you smile, performance that can be customized, and overall just what the owner needs to stand out from the crowd! A nice improvement."
