Aston Martin Vantage Revealed Again Ahead of February 12 Debut
Aston Martin's teaser campaign continues.
On Monday, Aston Martin released another teaser image of the next Vantage that reveals more than just taillights.
The next Vantage features sculpted vents on the front fenders leading to the doors; large sill extensions like those on Formula 1 racing cars can also be seen. The rear fenders bulge out significantly to cover the large wheels and tires. The mirror caps have been updated with turn signal indicators.
Camouflaged prototypes of the coupe and convertible showed the upcoming refresh, including new front styling featuring larger headlights. A more conservative grille would mark a return to traditional Aston shapes.
The current Vantage's Mercedes-Benz AMG twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 engine is expected to be retained. Output is unknown, but in the DB12 this engine is rated at 671 hp; the current Vantage is rated at 503 hp.
Tuning of the chassis design, dampers, anti-roll bar, and electronic rear differential are also expected.
As with the latest DB12, interior quality is expected to be the main focus of the update, along with higher performance technology.
The V-12 engine and manual transmission are not expected to return with the arrival of the updated Vantage.
