2025 Ram 1500 RHO, 2025 Defender Octa: Automotive News Headlines
The 6.2-liter V-8 supercharger known as the Hellcat was last seen in the 2024 model year, at least in the Ram 1500 TRX; the new 2025 1500 RHO, which fills the TRX void, essentially replaces the TRX's Hellcat V-8 with Sterantis' Hurricane ...twin-turbo 3.0-liter inline 6-cylinder replacement. Horsepower is down, but so is the price.
The hardcore Defender Octa is set to debut in July, and those interested in an early build should register for a special preview event. The SUV is being developed for both on-road and off-road performance thanks to a twin-turbocharged V8 with a mild hybrid system.
Last year, a one-off model of the Lotus Eviya electric hypercar was spotted at the Nürburgring built for time attack, and today Lotus confirmed that the car lapped the Ring in the second fastest time in an EV. The fastest time was set by Volkswagen's ID.R in 2019.
