In 2024, Lexus LS will appear with high-tech improvements
Lexus LS in 2024 will receive additional technical specifications for the new model year.
Lexus updated its flagship infotainment system for sedans in 2023, adding features such as voice control, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and removing the trackpad with a remote touch interface for the 12.3-inch infotainment system. In 2024, the LS500 will also receive a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, a backlit display and a digital connection key, and the LS500 and LS500h hybrids will receive standard wireless charging for phones.
The LS500 model comes with a Lexus+ safety system as standard3.It includes electronic driver assistance functions such as frontal collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and road sign recognition. It also includes proactive driving assistance when the driver applies steering and braking to maintain distance from the surrounding vehicle, and an emergency stop function to slow down the car to stop automatically if the driver proves incapacitated.
The LS500h model comes standard with the previous Lexus+ safety system2.5 driver Aid, but can be equipped with the Lexus Teammate hands-free driver assistance system introduced in the 2022 model. It can control acceleration, steering and braking when driving on a single-lane highway, perform lane changes and navigate certain interchanges and congestion.
The current generation LS was introduced in the 2018 model, and the style has changed little since then. The only change in 2024 is the new Silver Illusion color option.
The power unit has also not changed. The LS500 is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V-6 engine with 416 hp and 442 lb-ft of torque. A standard rear-wheel drive Lexus with a 10〜speed automatic transmission reaches speeds of 4.6-0 mph in 60 seconds.
The LS500h combines an atmospheric 3.5-liter V-6 engine with a hybrid system used in various other Lexus and Toyota models, providing a total system power of 354 horsepower. All-wheel drive is standard and lasts approximately 5.2 seconds at 0-60 mph.
The 2024 Lexus LS is expected to arrive at dealers later this year. Prices start at the base LS500 rear-wheel drive model from $1,80,685 and include $1,350 in destination tolls. This is an increase of 3,150 units for the 2023 model year, including a 200-unit increase in destination tolls. LS500h starts from 1 to 115,560.
