2024 Mercedes-Benz AMG EQE SUV with 617 hp for $110,450
Mercedes-Benz launched the EQE SUV in 2023 and added the AMG Performance flagship model to its electric mid-size SUV lineup in 2024.
Mercedes announced Tuesday that the 2024 AMG EQE SUV is now available at dealerships starting at $110,450.
This is the price of the standard model. The well-equipped Pinnacle model starts at $113,750. Both include a $1,150 destination charge.
The AMG EQE SUV is a hefty premium over the regular EQE SUV, which starts at $79,050, but brings an impressive array of upgrades, including significantly more power.
While the regular EQE SUV starts at 288 hp and has a maximum output of 536 hp, the AMG EQE SUV delivers 617 hp standard and 677 hp with the AMG Dynamic Plus package. In the latter case, the SUV can reach 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 149 mph. A Dynamic Plus Pack adds an even more exciting sound, though pricing has yet to be determined.
The AMG EQE SUV comes standard with an air suspension with adaptive dampers, rear-wheel steering, and an active anti-roll bar. It also boasts a powerful braking package consisting of six-piston calipers with 16.3-inch rotors in the front and single-piston calipers with 14.9-inch rotors in the rear.
The design of the AMG EQE SUV looks almost identical to the regular version, except for the vertical stripes on the pseudo-grille and the larger diameter wheels (19-inch wheels standard on the regular model, 21-inch on the AMG). One new design detail is the AMG badge on the nose in place of the traditional Mercedes star. The star is placed on the grille and tailgate. For users who want to add darker accents to the exterior, an AMG Night Package is available.
Inside, the interior features Mercedes' HyperScreen Digital Dash, which consists of a 12.3-inch screen for the instrument cluster, a 17.7-inch screen for the infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch screen for the passenger display. Also standard are a Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos, a surround-view camera system, automatic parking, Nappa leather, and a wireless smartphone charger.
Major AMG upgrades in the cabin include more heavily bolstered seats to hold front occupants more securely during high-speed cornering, AMG logos, a sport steering wheel, "AMG" lettering on the illuminated door sill plates, and more.
Upgrading to the Pinnacle model adds a heads-up display, augmented reality for navigation, four-zone climate control, and active ambient lighting that can respond to driver input and even flash warning signals.
