Cadillac Escalade IQ, 2024 BMW 4 Series, Tesla Charging Port at Rivian: Today's Auto News

GM announced that the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ will debut on August 9. The electric Escalade will debut in New York, but will not go into production until 2024. The Escalade IQ will share the Ultium platform and component set with the Chevrolet Silverado EV, GMC Hummer EV, and GMC Sierra EV. [2024 BMW 4 Series Coupe undergoes circuit testing at the Nürburgring. Scheduled for a mid-cycle refresh, the 2024 4 Series will feature updated front and rear fascias and tweaked lighting elements. In the interior, a single curved glass panel is expected to cover the state-of-the-art infotainment system and digital meter cluster.

Rivian has announced that it will use Tesla's charging port, known as the North American Charging Standard (NACS). Ford and General Motors will adopt Tesla's connectors, while Hyundai and Sterantis are also considering it. [more automotive news from Motor Authority today.
