The Future of Maserati, the 2025 BMW M4, and the Mercedes-Benz EQG: Today's Automotive News

Maserati Americas CEO Bill Puffer has revealed the luxury carmaker's future electrification plans. In short, it will require a lot of money. CEO Puffer admitted that Maserati's future would not have been possible without being part of the Sterantis Group. In the meantime, Maserati is concentrating on supercars and SUVs, offering gas and electric options for current vehicles.

The refreshed 2025 BMW M4 underwent a high-speed circuit test at the Nürburgring. The updated performance car was spotted in coupe form, but will also be available as a refreshed convertible. The front and rear lightning elements will be changed, with a more horizontal design at the front. The controversial kidney grille will remain.

The electric Mercedes-Benz G-Class, known as the Mercedes-Benz EQG, will have four electric motors mounted close to the wheels. Mercedes-AMG CEO Michael Siebe told Motor Authority that the setup ensures that the electric icon will have off-road capabilities comparable to gas models. The electric box on wheels is expected to be available in 2024.
