The one and only Bugatti, the McLaren 750S: today's car news
Bugatti's one-off Chiron Profillet sold for twice the pre-auction estimate at an auction held in Paris this week. The final bid, including the buyer's premium, exceeded $10 million, making it the highest price ever paid for a new car sold at auction.
The successor to McLaren's 720S is scheduled to be unveiled later this year, and word on the street is that it will be called the 750S. Following McLaren's alphanumeric naming strategy, the name 750S means that the car will have 750 metric horsepower, or about 740 horsepower.
Porsche is working on mid-cycle updates of an electric sedan and an electric wagon, and a prototype of the former has been spotted. There are rumors of new technology for the headlights and a new performance flagship.
