2024 Porsche 911 revives rotary engine Automotive News Headlines
Porsche is working on an update to the 911, which could include a new engine for the base Carrera as well as the sportier S, 4S, and GTS versions. The latest spy shots show a prototype Carrera Cabriolet with most of the camouflage removed.
Mazda is close to revealing a vehicle powered by its latest rotary engine. Mazda plans to use the engine as a range extender for an electric version of its MX-30 compact crossover, which at this time has been confirmed for the European market only.
Chinese auto giant BYD has launched a new EV brand targeting European luxury carmakers such as BMW and Mercedes-Benz. The new brand is called YangWang, and its first two models include an SUV and a hypercar, both of which generate more than 1,000 hp from a quad motor system.
