MSO Brand Center at McLaren Americas' New Headquarters
McLaren America held the grand opening of its new headquarters in Dallas, Texas, on Saturday.
The 31,000-square-foot site (approximately 12,000 square meters) surpasses the company's previous New York headquarters (approximately 4,500 square feet).
The location is also closer to most of McLaren's 32 dealerships in the Americas, allowing for quicker response to technical and customer service requests, according to McLaren.
The larger site also allows McLaren to centralize several departments: in addition to the MSO brand center, there is ample space for a showroom, service center, training center, and storage facilities for all company-owned vehicles.
The MSO Brand Centers are particularly important for customers in the Americas, because they offer a highly personalized and efficient service. This is because highly personalized car consultations can be done directly without the customer having to travel to McLaren's headquarters in Woking, UK, where the MSO personalization department is located.
MSO works on everything from custom interior and exterior colors to one-off fabrications such as the 2012 X-1 supercar. More recently, MSO has begun to handle services related to McLaren's older cars, which is fitting since MSO originally started as the customer car division for Formula 1 supercars.
