Ram and Chris Stapleton Create Retro "Traveler" Truck
Ram recently teamed up with country singer Chris Stapleton to develop a one-off 2500 HD, and the resulting pickup truck is full of retro cool touches.
Called the "Traveler," it features an interior and exterior reminiscent of pickup trucks from the 1970s onward. This is Stapleton's favorite, a 1979 Dodge D-150 Palomino.
Fans of classic trucks will immediately recognize the colors used on the Traveler, including Linen Cream on the outside and Bison Brown on the inside. Also not to be missed are the retro Turbo Finn 18-inch wheels, custom badging, and ram hood ornament.
Inside, the headrests feature the checkered material that Stapleton wore on the cover of his debut album, "Traveller." This is complemented by accents such as walnut burl wood veneers and speaker grilles designed to look like guitar amplifiers.
The track premiered Monday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, to celebrate Lamb's years of philanthropic work with Stapleton, including the 2016 donation of instruments and other equipment to the former Stapleton High School in Paintsville, Kentucky. It was created to celebrate his work with the company. [The track also coincides with the November 11 release of Stapleton's performance of Al Green's classic "I'm a Ram."
