2023 Bentley Bentayga Hybrid adds "S" and "Azure" grades
Two new variants of Bentley's Bentayga Hybrid have been added to the standard SUV lineup: the S and Azure.
Their arrival means that 50% of Bentley's lineup, consisting of 14 variants in all, now offers a hybrid powertrain.
In the Bentayga Hybrid, the powertrain is the same for the series: a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 with an electric motor, integrated with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The system has a maximum output of 456 hp and drives all four wheels, and an 18 kwh battery allows for pure electric range. Bentley estimates it at 27 miles.
The Bentayga S Hybrid was developed with performance enthusiasts in mind. In Sport mode, the suspension damping is increased by 15%. In this mode, the sound from the engine compartment is also enhanced. The Bentayga S Hybrid also features an exhaust system that can be adjusted to different sounds for the front and rear seats.
Like the Bentayga S with its V-8 engine, the Bentayga S Hybrid features sporty styling, with black accents instead of the usual chrome, a roof-mounted spoiler, darkened taillights, red brake calipers, and unique 22-inch wheels. The interior is dressed up with dynamica trim, an "S" logo, and illuminated treadplates. In addition, the digital meter cluster features dials similar to those used on the Benteiga Speed.
Performance includes 0-62 mph acceleration in 5.3 seconds and a top speed of 158 mph.
The Bentayga Azul Hybrid is designed for a comfortable and relaxing drive. In this regard, the car features soft-colored interior elements, mood lighting, front seats with up to 22-way adjustment, heated and cooled. Open-pore wood trim options include dark walnut, crown-cut walnut, and koa.
Externally, the car is identifiable by its "Azure" badge and 22-inch wheels with a 10-spoke design.
Both new versions of the Bentayga Hybrid can be ordered now for delivery in 2023.
