2024 VW ID.Buzz, 2023 Toyota GR Supra, Williams EVR platform: today's automotive news
Volkswagen finally has a modern microbus. It won't be available in the U.S. until next year, but we've already had the chance to test drive one. The hype is real.
Another vehicle we tested was the Toyota GR Supra with the new manual option. This manual is a six-speed that ZF developed for BMW's 382-horsepower turbocharged inline six-cylinder engine-powered cars, but Toyota has modified it to turn the fun dial.
Companies considering launching an electric performance car can purchase a modular platform that can handle more than 2,200 hp from Williams Advanced Engineering. The British engineering firm will also offer a turnkey solution that can deliver a working prototype based on the platform within 12 months and a production car within 24 months.
