2023 Dodge Challenger and Charger Scat Pack Swinger as Third and Fourth Last Call Models

The Dodge Challenger and Charger as we know them will disappear after the 2023 model year, but Dodge is celebrating each car's run with a collection of seven special last-call models.

The latest are the Swinger versions of the Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger R/T Scat Pack, the third and fourth in this collection. The previous two were the Challenger Shakedown and Charger Super Bee; Dodge plans to unveil two more last-call models through September 21 before displaying the seventh and final model at the 2022 SEMA Show, which begins on November 1.

The Swinger cars will have a retro look with green exterior and gold accents on the wheels, badges, and in the case of the Challenger, the shaker intakes. In addition, the rear fenders of both vehicles are emblazoned with the word "Swinger." This detail is a nod to Dodge's "swinging" muscle cars of the late 1960s and early 1970s.

The special touches continue into the interior, which features green accent stitching, wood dash inlays, and a green "Swinger" badge on the dash. Both vehicles feature a combination of nappa leather and Alcantara seats. [Since they are based on the R/T Scat Pack versions of the Challenger and Charger, they are powered by Dodge's 392 cubic-inch (6.4-liter) V-8 engine, which produces 485 hp and 475 lb-ft of torque. It also comes exclusively with the Challenger and Charger wide-body options.

Each car will be produced in a limited run of 1,000 units, with ordering information to be announced in the fall. For those who missed out on one of the last-call cars, all 2023 Challenger and Charger models will have special goodies to mark them as the last one. This will vary from model to model, but all models will have a commemorative plaque under the hood that reads "Last Call," "Designed in Auburn Hills," and "Assembled in Brampton."
