Expensive GMC Hummer EVs to cost $6,250 more Starting Saturday, June 18, the 2023 GMC Hummer EV pickup and SUV will increase in price, but the original price will apply to those who reserved a 3X model before that date.

GMC cites supply logistics, supply chain, and technology cost increases as reasons for the price increase. This is at least the third price increase General Motors has made in recent months: the 2023 Chevrolet Corvette was recently raised $2,300 and the GMC AT4X was raised $3,000 before launch. Conversely, the 2023 Chevrolet Bolt EV dropped in price by roughly $6,000 last week.

The 3X Pickup is the next Hummer EV to hit the market and comes soon after the limited 2022 model year, which featured only one Hummer EV Edition model. Its price, previously $99,995, now starts at $106,245 (including a $1,995 destination charge.) The 3X uses the same 24-module battery pack as the Edition 1 and features a 0-60 mph time of about 3 seconds with Watts According to GMC, the Extreme Off-Road Package will also be an option.

The price change will increase the EV 2X to $96,245 and the EV 2 to $86,245; the EV 2X will have two motors instead of three; the EV 2, which is not expected to arrive until the 2024 model year, will also have two motors, and the air suspension and four-wheel steering that were standard on the first model will be discontinued. four-wheel steering, which was standard on the first model, will be eliminated.

The Hummer EV SUVs will come in the same editions 1, 3X, 2X, and 2. The price increases will bring them to $111,845, $106,245, $96,245, and $86,245, respectively. These models were originally scheduled to hit the market in early 2023, but that date is unknown at this time.

Although the launch of the Hummer EV lineup is proceeding slowly - GMC has stated that only 100 units have been delivered through March - demand has been very strong; GMC has confirmed that there are currently over 77,500 reservations for all versions of the Hummer EV.
