The Motorex R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R V Spec II that Paul Walker drove is up for sale.

Prices for the R34 Nissan Skyline GT-R have skyrocketed in recent years (due to Gran Turismo and the PlayStation generation), and the pristine example currently for sale will have special appeal to most fans.

The car was one of 16 legally imported before Motorex was busted by the FBI in the mid-2000s, and according to a listing by San Diego-based Hive Auto Group, the car was extensively driven by Paul Walker.

The car is listed with only 21,242 original miles, most of which were accumulated by "Wild Speed" star Paul Walker. Walker is an avid GT-R fan, which is one of the reasons his character Brian O'Connor has appeared behind the wheel of a GT-R on numerous occasions. Incredibly, the studio wanted O'Connor to drive a Dodge Neon SRT-4 in Fast 2 Furious, but what actually appeared on screen was the now famous silver R34 GT-R.

Another plus for this car is that it sports the R34 GT-R's bayside blue hero color. And the graphics the car wears are from the famous BFGoodrich poster starring in the early 2000s.

Like all R34 GT-Rs, this car has a six-speed manual, all-wheel drive, all-wheel steering, and the legendary RB26 2.6-liter twin-turbo inline-6. The engine is officially rated at 276 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, although it is well known that these figures are understated to satisfy a gentlemen's agreement among Japanese automakers to limit output to 276 hp for safety reasons. The "V-Spec II" grade adds a few extras, including a limited slip differential in the rear as standard, stiffer suspension, and a carbon-fiber hood. The car also has extensive modifications, including forged Volk wheels, a Trust exhaust system, a Greddy radiator, and a Sparco four-point harness. There is also a Momo steering wheel and Nismo shift knob.

What about the 25-year rule on easy importation of classic cars into the U.S. The R34 Skyline will not be covered until 2024, but the rule already allows importation of the R32 and R33 generations, and GT-R versions of these cars, like the R34 GT-R feature a mechanical setup, but are usually sold at a much lower price.
