. Hooks is known for commissioning custom, boldly colored cars and even has a signature fuchsia color that McLaren developed for the 720S he purchased in 2017. McLaren named the color Fux Fuchsia after him. Fuchs ordered a Rolls-Royce Dawn in this striking color a few years later, and now he has chosen it again for Carmen Boulogne.
Hispano Suiza called Hooks' signature color Ocean Song Rose, named after Hooks' favorite flower. Hooks sent samples of the flower to Hispano Suiza to match his car.
The Carmen was unveiled in 2019, followed the next year by the more powerful and track-focused Boulogne variant. Both feature carbon fiber construction in the body and central monocoque, and are powered by an 80-kilowatt-hour battery that provides a range of about 200 miles. Power comes from a dual-motor setup, with the Boulogne producing 1,100 hp, 100 hp more than the standard Carmen. Performance is claimed to be 0-62 mph in under 2.6 seconds and a top speed of 180 mph.
Only 14 Carmen and 5 Carmen Boulogne will be built by Hispano-Suiza. Prices start at 1.5 million euros (about $1.63 million).
