Ford Everest 2022 spy shots and video: Ranger-based SUV spotted
Ford may have just launched the Bronco, but it is working on another SUV that will share the off-roader's T6 body-on-frame platform.
The new SUV is a redesign of the Everest (Endeavour in some markets), a Ranger-based midsize SUV with third-row seating that is sold outside the U.S.

The new Everest is a subcutaneous twin to the global version of the redesigned Ranger that was unveiled last fall. The U.S.-spec Ranger will be unveiled shortly as a 2023 model.
Judging from our latest spy shots and the teaser video below, the Everest's front-end styling will match its pickup counterpart.
We expect the interior design to match as well. Namely, the center stack will feature a digital meter cluster and portrait-style touchscreen (10.1" or 12"). A surround-view camera should be available, along with a variety of driver assistance features.
The powertrain should also be shared with the new Ranger. Ford has not yet confirmed the powertrains for the redesigned pickup truck, but we do know that there will be turbocharged inline-4 and V-6 options, including diesel options in some markets. A six- or seven-speed manual is also expected to be standard, with a 10-speed automatic also available.
A high-performance Ranger Raptor with a twin-turbocharged V-6 is planned, and the mechanical setup of this vehicle could spill over into a possible Everest Raptor, but Ford has remained silent on the matter. The new Ranger will eventually be equipped with a hybrid option, which could also be an option for the Everest.
A prototype of the Everest has been spotted testing near Ford's headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan, but it is doubtful that the SUV will be sold locally. It would be a great alternative to the similar Toyota 4Runner, but it might cannibalize sales of the Bronco and Explorer. Ford will likely offer the Everest in markets where the new Bronco is not sold.
